Rain Check Stormwater Management Program

Our team will help property owners reduce stormwater runoff cost-effectively while creating a beautiful landscape. Stormwater runoff occurs when rain or snowmelt flows over impervious surfaces from rooftops, driveways, sidewalks, and parking areas. The runoff then goes into local streams and rivers, polluting the natural ecosystem.

Provided project management and created content for the Prince George’s County Rain Check Rebate Program, granting rebates to property owners for installing stormwater management practices. This includes rain gardens, cisterns, green roofs, and tree planting, along with installing permeable pavements.

We developed Best Management Practices guidelines for approved rebate categories, eligibility criteria, application, and tracking forms. In addition, devised program application processing and management flow procedures and analyzed staffing, resource, and operation needs for the program within the allotted fiscal budget. This program is part of the County’s strategy to reduce nonpoint source pollution and comply with Maryland’s Stormwater Management Program objectives and milestones.
